  A village of Anglo Saxon in origin.
  The thatched cottage, which is also the local shop was built in the 16th century.
  The Anglican Church is dedicated to St Helen. It is a mix of Saxon and Norman Buildings. Looking at the western tower, the base of which is Norman, then going upward there is a 13th century lancet window, then 15 century battlements and just to finish gargoyles were added in the 18th century at the top.
  The home of the popular Brigsley Home-Made Ice Cream. Sadly the web site to this company no longer works so the link was removed
