Cuxwold was an emergency landing ground during The Great War.

 
Famous for its pork produce that is processed by Geo Adams Ltd specifically for Marks and Spencer Cuxwold Brand of Pork pies and Hams.
 
Cuxwold has a Cricket Club.
 
The small Norman Church with Saxon Tower (which was restored in 1860) is dedicated to St Nicholas and pictured left
 
Cuxwold Hall was erected in 1861 in the Tudor style.
 
A small parochial school was built here in 1868, but disused by 1900.
 
Cuxwold is recorded in the Domesday Book as Cucuwalt
