St Peters Church was restored / modified by Butterfield. Inside there is a monument to William Richardson (1850).
 
Above the village of Great Limber, stands The Brocklesby Mausoleum. The Architect was James Wyatt. The mausoleum was built to commemorate Sophia Aufrere who died as a young woman in 1786 and it was completed in 1792.
 

The Pelhams - The Earls of Yarborough. The emblem of the family is a medieval belt buckle, and it can be seen virtually everywhere around Great Limber

Great Limber was known as Lymburghe Magna in the Domesday book, a literal translation is "lime tree on the hill', and is named as such due to the burial site on mausoleum hill. In the middle ages, a small abbey was established around a knights templar and the village has its own market.
