Humberston
was originally known as Humber Stone, which was a large boulder
in the former Midfield Farm on the east Side of the Village,
that was dropped there during the last ice age. |

The
Boulder is now visible at the entrance to the Library |
| |
St
Peter's Church and was rebuilt about 1710, the tower is over

To
the rear of the church is the site of the former abbey of
Benedictine monks dated from the reign of Henry II. Dedicated
to Saints Mary and Peter, all that's sadly left are ground
workings of which the monks mound is most prominent in the
manor house garden. During recent excavations stone sarcophagi
were found.

The
Wesleyan Methodists built a small chapel in 1835, and replaced
it with a larger building in 1907. |
| |
Cleethorpes Country Park off North Sea Lane is a home to Canadian Geese and many other types of wild birds. |
| |
There is an Area close to the Cleethorpes boundary referred to as Humberston Fitties. Mainly Chalet style housing, that can only be lived in for a percentage of the year. |
