The Magnificent St James Parish Church in Louth, Lincolnshire
The majority of the building is 15th century, and is the third religious building on the site replacing both 11th and 13th century Churches that proceeded it. It is said to be one of the finest medieval churches in the country.
The Chancel and Naive were built between 1430-40. The Tower and Spire were not completed until 1515.The Church Roof was re-built in 1825.
In the Mid 19th Century major restoration took place, and the result is magnificent.

The 15th Century font was recovered from the Rectory Garden and returned to its proper use.
The church organ has thirty-seven speaking stops and three manuals and pedals. Originally Built by Gray and Davidson in 1857, altered by Foster and Andrews between 1868-9 and more recently rebuilt in 1911 by Norman and Beard.
