The
six sailed Waltham
Windmill, the symbol used for the
Infant and Junior Schools and is a regular tourist attraction
in the summer. Built in 1880, the mill has an unusual 6 sails.
This was the last working windmill in Lincolnshire and is still seen working on milling days throughout the year.
The surrounding buildings house many specialist craft shops, a restaurant and a rural museum containing many items of old farm machinery.
All Saint's (Pictured above left)is a 13th century medieval church, of which the Victorians restored. A mouse is carved into the choir screen - the 'signature' of Robert Thompson's workshop.
One of its rectors of All Saints, Richard Baynes, was implicated in the murder of the Elizabethan playwright Christopher Marlowe.
