Weelsby is now separated into grimsby and cleethorpes. The main reminder that it existed is the large park with Mature Trees, and Large Grass Areas for recreation called weelsby woods.
The Weelsby Woods were donated in 1950 by the Boston Deep Sea Fishing and Ice Company, and was once the grounds to Weelsby Villa.
Unattended areas of the park have an abundance of birds, foxes, and small mammals.
Weelsby Woods has two large lion statues that stand, one on either side, of the main entrance. They are over 100 years old.
